The Old Melbourne Gaol is the city’s oldest prison, housing Melbourne’s criminals between 1842 and 1929. It was home to one of Australia’s most famous outlaws Ned Kelly, who was hung here 1880. The Goal is open to the public, with guided tours also available for visitors.
