The challenging 226km Ironman race through Melbourne’s south east and bayside suburbs will see over 2000 competitors take between eight and 17 hours to complete.
The spectator friendly course includes a 3.8km swim along the Frankston Foreshore, a 180km cycle on the Eastlink Tollway and a 42.2km run from Frankston to the finish line at the St. Kilda Sea Baths.
The event reinforces Melbourne’s reputation as Australia’s home of sport and a leading international city for major events.
