St Kilda is the place to be during Summer.  Have a drink overlooking the water at one of the many sea side restaurants.  Our favourites are the Stoke House or the St Kilda Sea Baths complex.

The biggest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere is right here in Melbourne! There’s nothing you can’t find at the mammoth Chadstone Shopping Centre.  There are definitely more shops than you can see in one day so Punthill Oakleigh makes the perfect base for a weekend of Chadstone Shopping.  This luxurious, state of the art Oakleigh hotel is located just minutes from Chadstone Shopping Centre!

A great Melbourne walk is the Bay Trail that goes through St Kilda.  The whole walk is about 6 km but of course you can make it shorter! A good place to start is St Kilda Pier, where you can check out historic Luna Park.  After Luna Park take in the myriad of cafes and shops on Acland Street before heading out along the bay.

Now that the weather is warming up in Melbourne, there’s lots more to enjoy along the Yarra River which runs through some of Melbourne’s more well known areas including Richmond, South Yarra and all the way to Melbourne CBD.  Try out the great walking or riding tracks or why not see Melbourne via a boat trip!

Why do we have a Knox Hotel you ask?  Well, apart from the corporate business in Knox, there is also lots to do from a lesiure perspective.   Knox is of course the gateway to the Dandenong Ranges, making our accommodation Knox the perfect stop over on the way to or from this stunning national park.   A favourite of all kids is Puffing Billy which is easily accessed from this apartment hotel!  For the adults Knox is perfectly situated as a base for sampling the great wines of the Yarra Valley!  Knox is also home to a very large shopping centre which is walking distance from our Knox Apartment Hotel.  So there is something for everyone in Knox and surrounding areas (including Wantirna South).

Even though Williamstown is only minutes from Melbourne CBD, many people overlook this quant bayside town when deciding where to go for a weekend away!  Why not have a weekend staying at Punthill’s Williamstown accommodation,  and enjoy some of the many activities Williamstown has to offer…Here’s some of our picks of what to do on a weekend in Williamstown…

Start by taking the ferry from Southbank to Williamstown.  Once in Williamstown check into your Williamstown serviced apartment (Punthill of course).  Then we suggest a stroll down the main street all the way to the lighthouse, checking out some of the local shops – don’t miss the sweet store, where you can find all types of lollies dipped in chocolate!  By now you should be ready for a seafood lunch at one the many restaurants lining the bay.  After lunch, head out to Werribee Mansion and see this great old historical house.  If it’s Summer you may even catch a polo game.   By nightfall, if you’ve still got energy, the Titanic Theatre restaurant is a laugh!  End your day by falling into bed at Punthill Williamstown (don’t forget to check out the view of Melbourne from our roof top terrace first).  Wake up revived and head to Scienceworks in Spotswood for some educational fun!
